The Styles of the Young and Playful

Some of you may remember "The Hairstyles of the Young and Playful" from June 2008. The 2009 styles are all about accessorizing! Check them out and see if there aren't any you can use this summer.

How to Recreate: 2x4's with 3 holes for head and hands

Style: The Tiki Princess

How to Recreate: Put as many leis on you as possible making it difficult for you to move your arms.

Style: The Sporty Girl

How to Recreate: Look cute and carry some type of sports equipment around always.

Style: The Pirate

How to Recreate: Pirate Hat, Eye Patch, and a scratchy mean, ARRRRRGGHH!

Style: The Russian

How to Recreate: Fur hat.

Style: The American

How to Recreate: Stand in front of the flag in matching colors and look adorable.

This just shows how easy it is to look good and pull off a new look. I'm surprised I haven't seen more wearing these. Once again, thanks to our model Kira for showing us the new looks of the summer. Which new style is your favorite?

First Post from Oregon!

Here we are officially on the West Coast. We are pretty much all settled in and have gotten mostly everything unpacked. We are renting a 3 bed, 2 1/2 bath house. It's in a really great neighborhood. Our ward is humongous!!!! It was shocking to see it. Everyone seems to be really nice though. Oregon is absolutely gorgeous with lots to do outside. Plus! We've seen the sun more than the rain since we have been here. Double Plus!

Here's our backyard. We have a nice patio, a grassy area, and then an area in the back for a play place. We even got a sweet grill off Craig's list for free! Triple Plus!

Kira loves to squish her face into the screen door. Here she is as Miss Piggy.

Driving up the coast for our anniversary. Yeah, we should have gotten a sitter, but we don't know people well enough to start needin' services already.

My favorite place - The Beach!!! The sand was perfect and I was in heaven!
